Natural Beauty of Sendang Gile Waterfall, Lombok

When you visit Sendang Gile Waterfall in Lombok, you will enjoy plated water flow, cool air and attractive green landscape. Sendang Gile Waterfall is located at the foot of Mount Rinjani is also part of path to the highest mountain in Lombok, Indonesia. Administratively, this waterfall is located in the village of chili Senaru, about 2.5 hours from the city of Mataram by using car. You could also take public transport to get to the waterfall, but with the availability of transportation and general considerations of time, it is advised to take a rental / private car.

There are 2 ways you can take, the first is from Rembiga-Anyar-Senaru, and another way is from Ampenan- Mataram-Anyar-Senaru. If you chose the first way, you’ll pass the Pusuk forest that you will see monkey play in the branch and sits on the side of the way. You can stop for some time to feed the monkey while enjoying the views. If you choose the second way you will enjoy the beach view along the path you take, you will find board sign that says “Welcome to Sendang Gile waterfall.”

To enjoy the waterfall, you should purchase tickets. After that you could go straight to Sendang gile waterfall. Once you arrive there, you would see the rainbow when it exposed to sunlight.  Sendang Gile Waterfall is near the entrance to the waterfall area. To go there you only need 15 minutes on foot. Because it is near to the entrance, it is visited by many visitors, whether foreign or local. If you do not like Trace, the waterfall is perfect choice for you.

In fact, you still need to be careful, because a lot of small and large rocks around the waterfall. If you are standing on the high ground, you’ll see the crush and water flowing. You can also enjoy the view by sitting on the rock. To warm yourself, you can have coffee that can be purchased at the food stalls near waterfall.

Your bad feeling surely will disappear soon after seeing the waterfall. Sendang Gile Waterfall is very high, approximately 45 m with large and powerful destruction. If you do not want to get wet, you have to wear waterproof jacket to keep you from water. Nearby waterfalls, you will see amazing scene of large trees that live on the surface of the valley. According to villagers, Sendang Gayle is believed as a cure for many diseases. The water is also useful to make a person look younger. The local community is also believed that the flow of water coming greater if people talk loudly.
